SAP has recently announced the delivery of SAP GUI for Windows 7.20 scheduled for shipment in March/April 2010. This announcement is very important because it is the first SAP GUI for Windows version that will support Windows 7, the new Microsoft operating system especially developed for desktop and laptop computers. A beta version of the product is ready for testing and a Rump-Up program will be launched in October 2009. SAP has already announced that the program is completely booked out and no further customers can join it.

Please also notice that releases 6.40 and 7.00 are out of maintenance since 2008. SAP suggests their customers to upgrade to version 7.10 which will be maintained until March 31st, 2011. The long term release 6.20 has a restricted maintenance since September 2005 and support will end December 31st, 2010.
