Christmas 2008 the main project was a donation for the construction of a school building in the Philippines.
This project was introduced to ProXit by our employee Beat Kohler, who has a tide relation to the Philippines.
This is not a normal school like a primary or secondary school. The schoolhouse is a learning center; an ALS-school.

| ALS stands for "Alternative Learning System" and it is an initiative of the Philippine government.
A lot of teenagers and young adults drop out of primary school or never attend secondary school.
ALS now offers these people the opportunity to make up for missed schoolwork by preparing for an entrance
exam for secondary school or undergo further training in a variety of practical courses. |

Through our employee Beat Kohler, whose second homeland is the Philippines, ProXit was given
the opportunity to support the construction of a ALS learning center.
This center is located on the island of
Negros in the area of the municipality of Santa Cataligna in the village (barangay) Obat. |

| Enthousiastic about the idea to support and to be directly involved in the project, the corresponding credit
was approved by ProXit. The construction of the schoolhouse started in Obat in the beginning of 2009.
Coincidentally, the wife of Beat Kohler was present at the start of the project and was invited by the
authorities to the appropriate celebrations. In July 2009 the building progress was already so far ahead of
schedule that the first few classes in ALS Learning Center could already begin. |

| The building is a massive concrete construction with a sturdy corrugated iron roof. It has two entrances,
in order to divide the space later into two possible classrooms. |

| On 27 July the official inauguration of the ALS Learning Center was held in Obat.
Together with the mayor of Santa Catalina, Beat Kohler cut the ribbon. |

| Subsequently, the project was officially handed over by ProXit to the authorities, which in turn was honored with appropriate speeches. |

| Following tradition, the celebration was concluded with a festive buffet. |
 |
| As a surprise gift Beat Kohler received a cabinet made by the students of the ALS learning center. |
